The Antara Foundation’s (www.antarafoundation.org) core belief is that ‘every mother and each child deserve an equal start to a healthy life’. TAF's interventions are designed for scalability, ensuring sustainable, timely, and easily adaptable solutions on the ground. Focused on improving maternal, newborn, and child health and nutrition (MNCHN) outcomes, TAF partners with governments and communities to drive meaningful change at the last mile.
Achieving this vision requires an integrated solution that places women's agency at the center of a three-pronged approach: enhancing last-mile health services, fostering community engagement, and developing context-specific products. These elements are systematically linked to achieve maximum impact.
Central to TAF's mission is the use of grassroots data to help community health workers (CHWs) identify and manage high-risk beneficiaries. TAF empowers women to access essential healthcare and hold the health system accountable, while also enhancing the skills of health workers and birth attendants to reduce preventable deaths.
By working with local women and community representatives, TAF stimulates demand for health services. TAF’s interventions assist frontline health workers in prioritizing and tracking high-risk women and children, building capacity through targeted training, and addressing socio-economic barriers to strengthen the agency of rural women.
Through these efforts, The Antara Foundation aims to ensure equitable healthcare outcomes for all, driving sustained and significant progress in maternal and child health.

Koita Foundation is partnering with The Antara Foundation to develop Aalekha, a platform aimed at streamlining Health Systems Strengthening programs. This will optimize processes for district managers, program officers, and government officials. Aalekha is designed to empower TAF in its mission to provide a healthy start for every mother and child. It will enhance TAF’s impact by improving data management, accuracy, decision-making, and overall efficiency. This innovative solution will revolutionize data collection and analysis across nine districts, reaching nearly one million mothers and children annually.
